Early on, when my now 19 year old daughter was just a baby, I started my creative business to be at home with her and my son who was 8 at the time.  I've always been passionate about making things, dreaming up new ideas, and crafting things that people can wear and give as gifts. My family (mom, dad, cousin) all worked with me in the beginning and I learned so many skills from my dad.  We made rustic picture frames in the workshop he built me at his home. We did many art shows together including Country Living Fair in Atlanta, GA.  That was our very favorite show.  We were vendors there 3 years in a row.  Sadly, during our last season, my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and fought a very brief battle.  This ultimately changed the trajectory of my handmade business.  Being creative was hard for me while grieving the loss of my best friend and partner.  I stopped everything for a while.  When I finally felt like art and a creative outlet could help me heal, I began again and started creating art with t.Rick as my signature.  My dad's name was Ricky.

I have always loved creating digital designs and making apparel and art with those designs. My creative journey has morphed with my love of the beach and being a local on Florida's Emerald Coast.  This is where I was born and raised and my roots are firmly planted in the snow white sand and emerald waters.
